BBQ Chicken Pizza
The BBQ Chicken is the crowd-pleaser for tables that can't agree. Sweet, a little smoky, no heat — kids love it, and it's the pie we send out most often when an order says "something not spicy." It rounds out a lot of our two-and-three-pie family orders alongside the Buffalo Chicken.
What goes on it
- • Halal-certified all-white-meat chicken, cubed
- • Tangy-sweet barbecue sauce (used in place of tomato sauce)
- • Low-moisture whole-milk mozzarella
- • Thin-sliced red onion, added before the bake so it softens and sweetens
- • Our 24-hour cold-fermented dough
How it's made
Instead of tomato sauce we lay down a base of barbecue sauce, then cheese, then the chicken and red onion. Into the brick oven for 7–9 minutes. A second drizzle of BBQ goes on at the cut station so the flavor reads on the first bite.
Pairings
A Caesar or Garden Salad and a cold Snapple. It also pairs well with a side of our halal fried chicken for a backyard-cookout-style spread.
Ordering tips
Hold the onion for the kids' version. Small 12" is a great one-or-two-person dinner; large 16" for the family. Add jalapeños at checkout if you want to push it toward sweet-heat.

- Is there any tomato sauce on the BBQ chicken pizza?
- No tomato sauce at all. Barbecue sauce goes down in its place, then mozzarella, then cubed halal chicken and thin-sliced red onion, on the same 24-hour cold-fermented dough as everything else. Seven to nine minutes in the brick oven, then a second drizzle of barbecue at the cut station so the sauce reads on the first bite.
- BBQ chicken or buffalo chicken for a table that can't agree?
- BBQ. It's the same cubed halal all-white-meat chicken on both pies; the difference is what goes with it. Buffalo comes out with buffalo sauce and a ranch drizzle, and it brings heat. This one is barbecue sauce and red onion, no heat at all, which is why it's what we send when an order says something not spicy. Family orders of two or three pies often go out with one of each. If somebody wants heat on the BBQ, jalapenos go on at checkout.
- My kid picks the onions off everything. Can I get it without them?
- Yes, ask for no onion and that's how it goes out. It's the standard kids' version of this one. Worth knowing first: the red onion is sliced thin and goes on before the bake, so it softens and sweetens in the oven; it isn't the raw, sharp onion people usually pick off. Leave it out and you're down to barbecue sauce, mozzarella and cubed halal chicken.
- Is the bbq chicken pizza halal?
- Yes — every meat on this pizza, like every meat on our menu, comes from a halal-certified supplier, and the kitchen, fryer and slicer are halal-only. Nothing non-halal is prepared or stored on the premises.
- Can I order it for pickup or delivery?
- Both. Pickup is free and usually ready in about 15 minutes. In-house delivery is our own drivers — no third-party app markup — across Clifton, Paterson, Passaic, Garfield, Nutley, Lyndhurst, Bloomfield and Belleville.
